Orbit Masks

Hi Orbit World,

Chris here. I've been wanting to make these masks for about a year and this COVID-19 crisis became the catalyst that finally launched them into existence. The material is a full wrap velcro, semi-elastic quilted pattern. The material is very light, airy, and is meant to act as a lightweight cloth mask. These face masks are NOT medical grade masks (which are recommended by the World Health Organization as an infection preventative measure, i.e. grade FFP2/N95). So please DO NOT purchase these face masks with the notion that they will entirely prevent infection from COVID-19 as you can still contract the virus through your eyes. Wash your hands regularly, limit exposure in crowded hotspots, disinfect your phone often, and maintain social distancing. This is more for fashionable everyday use and the minimum requirement for face cover in public places.

  • Comfortable fit and shape that contours to your face
  • Machine washable and reusable, tumble dry safe

All profits will go to Second Harvest of Silicon Valley. My wife and I will be matching all sales made in the first 24 hours.

"A record number of kids, families and seniors rely on Second Harvest for food every month, and the number is growing. It’s hard to imagine the pain of not being able to feed your family, or going to school on an empty stomach. But the reality is more than 1 in 4 people is at risk of hunger in the Silicon Valley.
The booming economy has sent the cost of housing soaring, leaving many families and seniors with little left over for food. It’s what we call the Silicon Valley hunger paradox — as the economy grows, so does the number of people who need food. Even those we depend on to make our community run can’t afford to pay for housing and put nutritious food on the table — cooks, cashiers, health care workers and teachers.

Second Harvest and our partner sites are the only grocery stores for our most vulnerable neighbors in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties.

During public health crises like the COVID-19 outbreak, kids and families on the brink of poverty are disproportionately impacted. When businesses are closed and hourly wages are scaled back, the service we provide is even more critical. Yet we're facing unprecedented challenges ourselves, with rapid changes to our volunteer workforce and distribution networks.

Now more than ever, we need your support to make sure anyone who needs a healthy meal can get one."

Thank you all. We'd hug you but we shouldn't right now. *Virtual Hug*
